Thirteen players made their way into the scoring column for the Iola-Scandinavia boys’ basketball team, as the Thunderbirds handed Tigerton a 57-10 nonconference loss Dec. 30.
The T-Birds outscored the host Tigers 23-4 in the first quarter, 12-0 in the second and 15-5 in the third before holding Tigerton to one free throw over the final eight minutes.
Kristian Welch was the only player to finish in double figures, as he scored a game-high 15 points for the T-Birds. Evan Fuhs and Adam Cherek added eight each,
The T-Birds will resume Central Wisconsin 8 Conference play Friday, Jan. 9, by hosting Amherst at 7:30 p.m. I-S will also head to Manawa Monday, Jan. 12, for a matchup with the Wolves.
