Troy A. Hanson – age 41 – of Weyauwega, WI passed away very unexpectedly on Friday, January 16, 2015.
He was born on August 2, 1973 in New London, WI, the son of Larry and Mary (Jansen) Hanson. He married Holly Bradley on August 2, 2003 in Las Vegas, NV. Troy is survived by his wife, Holly; children: Wyatt Hanson, Marissa Hanson, Hailee Adair, and Riley Johnson; his father, Larry Hanson (special friend, Patti Tilley) of Weyauwega; a sister, Tracy (Ray) Borntrager of Waupaca and their children: Joshua, Jenna, Jessica, and Jared Borntrager; a brother, Travis Hanson of Weyauwega and his daughter, Amanda Hanson; mother-in-law, Bonnie (Reed) Patti of Wild Rose; father-in-law, Gary (Jan) Bradley of Wild Rose; sister-in-law, Shelly(Geoff) Williams of Weyauwega and their children, Spencer and Bonnie Williams, and his maternal grandmother-in-law, Carol Stumke of Wild Rose. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as very dear friends: Duane and Allison Dunham, Cindy and Dan Wheaton, and Lisa and Tim Stearns. Troy was preceded in death by his mother, Mary (Jansen) Hanson; his paternal grandparents, Erwin and Dorothy Hanson; his maternal grandparents, Sylvester and Colletta Jansen; a cousin, Chad Jansen; a brother-in-law, Tyler Bradley, and uncles. He was also preceded in death by the family companion, Sadie. Troy currently owned and operated Hantro Concrete Construction in Weyauwega.
He was passionate about hunting and was looking forward to his Wyoming hunting trip with his cousin, Josh. He also enjoyed fishing. His biggest passion other than his family was raising Piedmontese cattle. He loved NASCAR and was a big Tony Stewart fan. He was also a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He had a love for working with concrete and was very talented at creating many decorative concrete objects. Troy had a heart of gold and was always willing to help anyone at anytime, and he strived to make sure that his family was always taken care of and happy.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI with the Reverend Cliff Cameron, Pastor – First Assembly of God Church, officiating. A visitation will be held at the Holly Funeral Home on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given in memory of Troy A. Hanson. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
