Waupaca police with the assistance of the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant at the Ramada Grand Seasons Hotel at approximately 1 p.m. Friday.
The hotel is located across Grand Seasons Drive from the truck stop that was robbed at gunpoint early Friday morning.
Tracks in the snow led investigators to believe that a guest staying at the hotel was involved in the robbery.
Police took a 41-year-old Fremont man into custody for questioning at 9 a.m.
While executing the search warrant of the suspect’s room, officers found a handgun believed to have been used in the robbery.
Police are withholding the suspect’s name until criminal charges are filed.
