Amherst led 14-5 after one quarter and 25-15 at halftime, but the Indians cut into the lead with a 9-4 advantage in the third quarter.
The Indians used an 11-1 run to tie the game at 30-30 and Becky Schroeder gave the Indians their first lead – 32-30 – with 6:04 remaining in the game.
W-F eventually built a 38-32 lead with 2:50 to play, but the Falcons outscored the home team 8-2 the rest of the way and the teams went into overtime tied at 40-40.
The Falcons hit six free throws in the final minute of overtime to build a 10-point lead.
Karissa Akey led the Indians with 13 points, while Kendra Dombrowski and Heather Pearson led Amherst with 19 and 15 points, respectively.
