Floyd M. Archer, age 84, of Fremont died on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at the Weyauwega Health Care Center.
He was born on July 21, 1930 in Evanston, Illinois, the son of the late Harvey and Agnes (Anderson) Archer. He served in the military for a brief time. Floyd was married to Joanne Harth, until she preceded him in death on February 16, 1991. He later married Jeannette Walbert in December 1992. She preceded him in death on July 9, 2012. Floyd was employed by Glenbrook High School for 16 years and was a member of the American Legion Post 42 in Evanston, Illinois. He enjoyed fishing.
Floyd is survived by a son, Keith Knute (Brandi), Schaumburg, IL; three grandchildren, Melissa, Miranda and Brinna; four sisters, Sharon Nygaard, Slinger, WI; Charlene Capper, OR; Debra Gleniewicz, OR and Pat (Gene) Rudolph, IL; nieces and nephews, Ken Linke, Richard Linke, and Laura Coombs; other relatives and friends. Floyd was preceded in death by a son, Michael Scott Archer on March 29, 2007, and a sister, Beverly Linke.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 6, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at the Lewin Funeral Home, Fremont. Pastor Alex Tychkin will officiate. Burial will be in Wolf River Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday at the Lewin Funeral Home, Fremont from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established for American Legion Post 42 in Evanston, IL and the Weyauwega Health Care Center.
