Walk in Our Shoes at Catholic school

St. Rose and St. Mary’s School is welcoming all families with early childhood aged children to “Walk in Our Shoes.”

The event features a day of experiences in the preschool and kindergarten classrooms.

This early childhood event will take place from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, and is open to the whole community. Those who are not able to stay the whole day, but would like to participate, can come at any time from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

This open house style event will give families an opportunity to witness firsthand what students in those classrooms learn, participate in, experience and create. It also gives families a chance to experience what a Christian Catholic education at St. Rose and St. Mary’s School has to offer.

Families can expect to see the early childhood classrooms, meet Leah Wojnowiak, the preschool teacher, and Jennifer Broeders, the kindergarten teacher, while families participate in daily classroom and school activities, and view current projects. They will also have the opportunity to experience transitions between classroom activities, take part in recess and receive a complimentary lunch in the cafeteria.

This is also a time to meet other teachers and school/parish staff, and experience how 4K students transition from the preschool classroom to the Extended Day Program when they participate in the 4K all day option. Families will also obtain enrollment and tuition assistance information and materials, have a question and answer session with early childhood teachers, get a tour of the school from Autumne Gee, the parish coordinator of marketing, stewardship, and development, and be welcomed by Deacon Lincoln Wood and School Administrator, Jennifer Wood.

Full event brochures are available in the school office, St. Rose Parish, at Clintonville Public Library, and on the school’s Facebook page. For more information about the event, or to inform the school of your participation, call the school office at 715-201-9913 or email Gee at [email protected].
