Rick A. Discher of Scandinavia, age 61, passed away at home, surrounded by his family on Friday, February 20, 2015.
He was born on August 30, 1953 to the late Benedict and Evelyn (Herkowski) Discher, and grew up in Germantown, WI. He married his wife, Sandy in Waupaca on August 30, 2003, which was Rick’s 50th birthday. Rick was the owner of Custom Fiberglass Molding in Weyauwega. He was an avid ski pilot and designed Trick Air Skis. Rick enjoyed hunting, camping, water and downhill skiing, boating and snowmobiling. He was an EAA Member.
He will be sadly missed by: his wife, Sandy; children: Marla (Keith) Snyder of Waupaca, JoLene (Tyler) Nollenberg of Weyauwega, Emily (Jon) Barker of Appleton, Lance (fiancée, Danielle) Wiskirchen of Waupaca, Kyle Wiskirchen of Wild Rose; brothers and sister, Larry (Cathy) Discher, Jane Becker, and Bud (Anne) Discher; father and mother-in-law: Erv and Marilyn Koepp; 10 grandchildren, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Conrad and brother-in-law, Marv Becker.
The Memorial Service will be on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 5 p.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home. Friends and family may gather on Wednesday at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until the time of the service.
