Herbert A. Klumb, age 86, New London, went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Theda Clark Medical Center, Neenah.
He was born on October 27, 1928 in Kohlsville, WI, son of the late Alvin and Emma (Pamperin) Klumb. On October 11, 1958, he was united in marriage to LaNore Kurth in Jackson, WI; she preceded him in death on November 8, 2012. Herb grew up and worked on the family dairy farm and also worked as an electrician for over 40 years. He was a humble man who was proud of his family and his German heritage. Herb was an avid reader, loved classical music and was blessed with the gift to fix anything for anyone. He was a faithful member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, New London.
Herb is survived by his children, Sara (Keith) Moore and son Samuel, Traverse City, MI and Gregory Klumb, Oshkosh. He is further survived by a sister, Naomi Klumb; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Orville (Betty) Kurth; Roger (Sharon) Kurth; Karen (Jake) Jacobs; Phyllis Ermer and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife LaNore, brothers: Vernon, Richard, Donald and Norbert and a sister Harriet.
Funeral services for Herb will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church, New London with Rev. Bill Heiges officiating. Burial will be in the Floral Hill Cemetery, New London. Family and friends may call at the church on Friday from 12 noon until the time of service.
