St. Rose St. Mary’s School in Clintonville is welcoming the public to its “Luck of the Irish Open House.”
This Irish themed event will take place on Tuesday, March 17 from 5-6:30 p.m. in the school, preceding the Robin Hood musical performed by the school’s 5-8 grades in St. Rose Church. All are welcome.
Activities will be available to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, such as a costume prop photo booth, a juggler and unicyclist, DJ Jolene the Party Machine will be playing Irish music, a make & take Playdoh station and a shamrock toss game. These activities will be run by school alums, Jarren Vanman, Maria Wood, Tyler Finger, Caleb Tessmer, Skylar Gast and Megan Bouchette. Vanman will be the unicyclist.
Event guests will also have numerous chances to win prizes by guessing how many Skittles, golden nuggets, and rainbow eggs are in green mugs, and by registering to win St. Patrick’s Day themed baskets and six different gift cards. Winners must be present.
Potential new families should know that if they enroll their child/children at St. Rose St. Mary’s School for the 2015-2016 school year before or at the open house, they will have their name entered in a drawing for an Android Tablet. One free tuition drawing through the Michael Clausen Tuition Scholarship will also take place at the open house for a returning K-8 student. K-8 student names get entered the number of years they have been enrolled.
Traditional Irish food will also be available for a limited time for guests to try, ranging from Irish potato casserole, Irish ginger snaps, and Shepard’s pie, to soda bread and corned beef and cabbage. Green and rainbow Jello jigglers, Rice Krispy treats and green punch will also be served.
In addition to the activities and food, the public can tour the school, meeting the staff, view current student work and observe the student’s St. Patrick’s Day mini-float displays.
Families can learn more about enrollment and tuition assistance opportunities, such as the 10 percent discount for multiple children, $100 referral incentive, monthly payment plan option and the Scrip Program, which helps families reduce tuition costs. The “Luck of the Irish Open House,” event gives families a wonderful chance to experience what a Christian Catholic education at St. Rose St. Mary’s School truly offers.
