Christine M. Laughlin, age 90, Clintonville, formerly of New London… Mom put on her dancing shoes and met Dad for a long awaited reunion on Thursday, March 19, 2015.
She was born on August 25, 1924 in Eagle River, daughter of Christopher and Sarah (Skinner) Rasmussen. On September 17, 1944, she married the love of her life, Bob Laughlin in Fond du Lac and they made their home in New London. She was formerly employed at Patton’s Meat Market and retired from Hillshire Farms.
She is survived by her children: Jeanine (David) VanDenzen, Appleton; Kayla (Davey) Henschel, Princeton; Marcia Prochnow, Clintonville; Michael (Annette) Laughlin, New London; David (fiancée Debbie Kimball) Laughlin, Bear Creek; grandchildren: Stacey (David) Dibelius, Julie (Jerry) Chase, Stephanie (Rocky) Sauerbrei, Katrina Prochnow, Joshua, Aron, and Adam Laughlin, Samantha Laughlin; nine great-grandchildren: Mackenzie and Wyatt Dibelius, Ryan Gauthier, Balie, Isabella Laughlin, Carmen, Kerstin, Katelyn and Cassidy Sauerbrei; brothers and sisters-in-law: Gene and Phyllis Laughlin, Alice Roehl, Dale Reese; special friends, Vi Zuge and Geri Young and niece, Louanne (LeRoy) Krueger. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and father and mother-in-law, Ed and Irene Laughlin; Orville Roehl and Ruth Reese and sister, Betty Krueger.
Funeral services for Christine were held on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London. Visitation was held at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
