Legault, Robert ?Bob? D.

Robert “Bob” D. Legault, age 93 of Marinette passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at the WI Veteran’s Home in King. 

He was born November 12, 1921 to the late Jesse and Lou (Colburn) Legault in Marinette. He attended Marinette schools graduating from Marinette High School in 1939. Bob married Ruth Goodfellow on November 30, 1940 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. He served in the US Navy during WWII and had spent most of his life as a Manufacture’s Agent selling auto parts and reconditioning equipment throughout the state of Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula. At 65, Bob retired and started a train layout which he worked on for the next 25 years. At 90, he sold his layout citing failing eyesight. Throughout his life, he hunted and fished. He was active in the Twin City Bow Club, the Am Vets, the Disabled American Veterans, and the M&M Model Train Club. 

Bob is survived by his wife of 74 years, Ruth of Marinette; three children: Pattee (Tom) LaFountain of Appleton, Jane Legault (Doug Wilke) of Waupaca, and Jim Legault of Yucatan, Mexico; two grandchildren, Korrin LaFountain of Cartersville, GA and Radoslav Robert Wilke of Waupaca; and two great-grandsons, Zachary and Jacob Hinds of Alpharetta, GA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John and granddaughter, Cheryl Hinds. 

A private family gathering will be held. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to the Salvation Army, 80 W.
