Daley endorsed for Supreme Court

James Daley has been Rock County chief judge in Wisconsin’s 5th Circuit Judicial District since 2013, and was Rock County’s circuit court Judge since 1989.

Judge Daley is currently running in the nonpartisan race for Wisconsin Supreme Court against incumbent Justice Ann Walsh Bradley.

Judge Daley is pro-life, and Justice Bradley is neither pro-life nor pro-choice. Although pro-life, Judge Daley does rule by the abortion laws. In fact, he makes all of his decisions based on the U. S. Constitution and the rule of law, and never legislates from the bench. He ruled in over 38,000 cases during the past 26 years. He is not an activist Judge.

Judge Daley states that if elected, he will help to put and end to the presently dysfunctional Wisconsin Supreme Court. He is in favor of selecting Wisconsin’s Supreme Court’s chief justice by votes from the other justices, and is against making this selection by seniority.

Daley is in favor of Voter ID, which was upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court on March 13, 2015. He was in favor of Act 10 under Gov. Scott Walker, which is also Wisconsin law. Over 50 district attorneys and sheriffs in Wisconsin endorse him.

He is married with four daughters. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam, winning a Bronze Star in 1967. He stayed in the military, and retired from the Wisconsin National Guard as a brigadier general, with total military service of 36 years.

I highly recommend that Judge James Daley be elected as our new justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court on April 7.
