After winning the 2014 Division 2 State Championship 800-meter run last spring, Ali Johnson is looking to lead the Trucker track teams into contention in the Eastern Valley Conference this year.
Joining Johnson are Jessica Petruzates, Chrissy Betz, Joe Pockat, Tommy Miller, Skyler Lehman and Todd Taylor – all of whom were key contributors last season for the Truckers.
Taylor returns after a successful season last year to run sprints and compete in the triple jump. Pockat and Miller will boost the relays and other running events as well as a few field events, while Lehman looks to be a top competitor in the pole vault event.
Johnson will compete in the 800-meter run and is also expected to use her leaping ability to compete in the high jump again this year.
Petruzates, a distance runner, will help the team in the mile run, while Betz is expected to soar to new heights in the pole vault event.
The Truckers are coached by Rod Moon, who is in his 17th year coaching.
