Russell D. Bressler, King, Wisconsin, age 82, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI.
He was born November 30, 1932 in Milwaukee, WI, son of George and Sally (McGee) Bressler. Russell was a Korean War veteran, worked at the Continental Can Company, and was also an accomplished artist and writer. He was a proud member of the American Legion Post 161 and the Wisconsin Historical Society.
Russell is survived by his brother, George; his sister, Kay; two sons, David and George; two daughters, Dawn and Kim; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Sally Bressler; two brothers, Jack and Jerry; and a sister, Beverly.
A Memorial Service will be on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ainsworth Hall Chapel, 800 Mitchell Avenue, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI followed by full military honors. Chaplain Wayne Schwanke will officiate. A visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the Ainsworth Hall Chapel. Burial will be at the Central WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King following the military honors on Friday. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
