The Wisconsin Veterans Home in King hosted an Operation Welcome Home, Vietnam Veterans Day program Saturday, March 28.
The Vietnam Veterans Memorial was erected in memory of the young individuals who went to war as kids and lost their youthful dreams, and some their lives.
More than 165,000 men and women of Wisconsin served in the Vietnam War, with 1,239 dying as a result.
With around 135,000 Vietnam veterans, it is the largest group of living veterans in Wisconsin.
