Watling receives Rotary Student honor

Ryan Watling son of Greg Watling and Cindy Goller of New London is one of New London High School’s Rotary Students for the 2014-15 school year.

Watling is a responsible and ambitious young man who is an outstanding role model at New London High School.

He has been active and successful while at New London High School. He has been a team member of the soccer and track teams. He also is a band leader for the show choir, plays trumpet in the concert band as well as Jazz I Ensemble. He also participates in the Rock Climbing Club, student council and HOSA. He was selected as a Badger Boys State delegate and National Honor Society.

Outside of school Watling is active in various church activities including the Handbell Ensemble. He also plays club soccer.

With a grade point average of 4.0, Watling ranks as one of the valedictorians in his class of 213. He is also a Post Crescent Academic All-Star.

After high school he plans to attend Northern Michigan University to study nutritional science and then go on to medical school.
