Clintonville girls get first win

After getting off to a 0-4 start the Clintonville softball team put a win in the win column by shutting out Ripon 8-0 Friday, April 17.

Oakes, Brown, Sandstrom, Higgins, and Dey led the way with two hits each.

Megan Wittman was the winning pitcher, throwing seven shutout innings.

In the second game of the doubleheader, Clintonville jumped out to a 10-1 lead after two innings. Each team scored three runs in the fourth inning, but the game was suspended due to darkness.

The second game will be concluded at a later date.

On Tuesday, April 14 Clintonville lost to Waupaca 10-0. The day before that they lost two games of a doubleheader to Omro. They lost the first game 11-7 and the second game 6-2.
