Truckers go 3-0 during week

The Clintonville baseball team completed a successful week by winning three games, two of them over Little Chute.

The team started the week on a winning note hosting Little Chute April 14 and winning 7-6.

The game featured four lead changes. The Truckers took the lead for good on an RBI single by Hunter Vollmer.

Nick Hogen had three RBI on two hits for Clintonville.

On the mound, Vollmer got the win, allowing two runs over three innings. He struck out five, walked none, and gave up three hits.

Two days later the two teams met again, this time at Little Chute. Clintonville once again came out on top, this time 9-7.

Clintonville pounded out 11 hits. Riemer had three hits, while Hogan and Jaden Doornink each had two hits. Chad Bork had three RBI.

Doornink got the win, while Vollmer got the save.

Clintonville traveled to Weyauwega-Fremont Friday, April 17 and returned home with an 8-5 victory.

The Truckers got on the scoreboard early scoring two runs in the first inning. They scored two more runs in the third inning, but gave up five runs in the bottom of that inning.

Clintonville was able to score at least one run in each of the final three innings to secure the win.

Doornink led the way with three hits. Riemer had two hits, as did Aaron Morse and Bork.

Bork was the winning pitcher.
