More charges filed against Waupaca man

Ryan S. Lubinski, 30, Waupaca, is charged with misdemeanor theft and felony bail jumping.

On Tuesday, March 31, the general manager at McDonald’s in Waupaca called police and reported that $400 had been stolen from her purse.

Waupaca Police Officer Nicole Hahn interviewed the manager, who said her purse had been in the back office while she was at work on March 28. That night she discovered that the money was missing from her purse. She searched several places for the money before reporting the theft to police.

The manager suspected Lubinski because the other employees had been working at the restaurant for years, while Lubinski was relatively new. She also reported that Lubinski’s register had come up short of money on several occasions.

According to the criminal complaint, when Hahn questioned Lubinski about the missing money he said he took it to pay some bills.

Lubinski was charged with multiple counts of theft in July 2014 after his in-laws accused him of stealing a handgun, a rifle, two chain saws, a GPS unit, a laptop computer, several power tools and a fishing rod while they were out of town.
