David L. Gretzinger Jr., age 48, of Sugar Bush passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 1, 2015 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center, Green Bay.
David Lee Gretzinger was born on September 14, 1966 in Clintonville to David and Carol (Seefeldt) Gretzinger Sr. He attended St. Rose Catholic School and graduated from Clintonville High School in 1985. As a young man he mowed lawns, shoveled snow, and worked at D. Mitchell Interiors. He started his own business, Floor-Tech, installing carpet and flooring for close to 25 years in the Clintonville, New London, and Shawano areas. He was united in marriage on September 28, 2002 to Lisa R. Clauson in New London. David was a handyman and carpenter who could fix almost anything. He was a member of the Truck City Riders snowmobile club and often volunteered to groom the trails. David enjoyed going fishing and watching the old trains go by. He was always there to help out neighbors and friends in need with all sorts of projects.
Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Lisa; his parents, David and Carol Gretzinger of Clintonville; a sister, Nadine (Mark) Kutchenriter of Clintonville, and two nephews, Brandon and Brian Kutchenriter. David is also survived by his mother-in-law, Collene Clauson, and a brother-in-law, Mike (special friend Katie Laatsch) Clauson, both of Clintonville. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends. David is preceded in death by an infant brother, Mark, and his father-in-law, Michael Clauson.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 9th at 12:00 Noon at the Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Clintonville. David’s cousin, Deacon Steve Gretzinger, will officiate and inurnment will be at St. Rose Catholic Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends may call on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home.
