Truckers come up short

The Clintonville High School girls’ softball rallied in the bottom of the seventh inning against Little Chute Thursday, May 7, but came up a run short.

The bats for the Truckers woke up in the final inning, and they were able to close to within one run. But with the bases loaded, they were not able to drive any more runs home. The final score was Little Chute 3, Clintonville 2.

Savannah Harbath led the Lady Truckers with two hits.

Laura Lukoski took the loss for Clintonville. She pitched three inning and struck out two batters. Megan Wittman pitched four innings, striking out one batter.

The next day Friday, May 8, the Truckers lost 10-0 to Freedom.

The team played a double header on Tuesday, May 5 against Xavier. They lost the first game 11-0, as well as the second game 11-1.
