The road to the state tournament for area softball teams will get under way Tuesday, May 26, with regional games.
First-round pairings were not released at press time, but will be posted on the WIAA website, www.wiaawi.org.
Division 1
Hortonville is in the Ashwaubenon Sectional, along with Appleton East, Appleton North, Appleton West, Ashwaubenon, Bay Port, De Pere, Green Bay East, Green Bay Preble, Green Bay Southwest, Green Bay West, Menasha, Neenah and Pulaski.
Regional play begins Wednesday, May 27.
Division 2
Waupaca, New London and Clintonville are in the Shawano Sectional.
Waupaca and New London are in a regional with Fox Valley Lutheran, Freedom, Little Chute Wrightstown and Appleton Xavier; and Clintonville is in a regional with Marinette, Oconto Falls, Peshtigo, Seymour, Shawano and Wittenberg-Birnamwood.
Regional play begins May 26.
Division 3
Iola-Scandinavia, Weyauwega-Fremont and Amherst are in the Marathon Sectional with Lourdes Academy, St. Mary Central and Shiocton.

Division 4
Manawa, Marion, Almond-Bancroft and Wild Rose are in the Athens Sectional.
Manawa and Marion are in a regional with Bowler, Gresham, Newman Catholic, Rosholt, Tigerton and White Lake; and Almond-Bancroft and Wild Rose are in a regional with Assumption, Pacelli, Pittsville, Port Edwards and Tri-County.
Regional play begins May 26.
Sectionals are scheduled for Tuesday, June 2, and Thursday, June 4, while state-qualifying teams will play Thursday to Saturday, June 11-13, at Goodman Field in Madison.
