The High Ground covers 155 acres with 4 miles of hiking trails. Much of the land is forested with benches along the trails. There are monuments, a learning center, and many artifacts. This is a place of healing and education.
“Every veteran, every loved one of a veteran, and every American who respects what our veterans have done to keep America free should visit ‘The High Ground’ at least once in their lifetime,” said one area veteran who visited the grounds last Saturday. “Freedom isn’t free. All hail our nations heroes.”
