Henrickson, Yvonne

Yvonne D. Henrickson, age 89, of Clintonville passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Theda Clark Medical Center, Neenah.

The former Yvonne Dorothy Korth was born on April 25, 1926 in Oshkosh to Julius and Dora (Steinke) Korth. She was united in marriage on October 30, 1948 to Ervin L. Henrickson at St. Martin Lutheran Church, Clintonville. The couple started farming in the Navarino area and settled in Clintonville in 1954. While farming Yvonne also worked at Hansen Glove Factory for several years and then she was employed doing sewing for 28 years at LaCrosse Footwear of Clintonville. Yvonne was a member of Christus Lutheran Church and enjoyed making quilts for the Lutheran World Relief program. Her other interests included camping, mowing her lawn, creating beautiful embroidery works, and going on bus trips. Yvonne also loved to see the sights in Florida, Nevada, Ohio, Missouri, and Upper Wisconsin. Her husband preceded her in death on October 23, 2005.

Survivors include two daughters, Dolores “Tootie” (Robert) Urban of Hales Corners and Lu Ann Prothero of Appleton. There are three grandchildren, Rhonda (Craig) Daily of Appleton, Kevin (Amy) Prothero of Appleton, and Jason Urban of Hales Corners. There are three great-grandchildren, Olivia and Ella Daily, and Gavin Prothero. There are two sisters, Donna (Carl) Burns of Morrow, OH, and Julie (Kenny) Luniak of Green Bay. She is further survived by three sisters-in-law, Dorothy (Elmer) Lettau of Shiocton, Gloria (Chuck) Jansen of Springfield, MO, and Irene “Muggs” Henrickson of Clintonville. Yvonne is preceded in death by her husband, Ervin, and two infant brothers. 
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, May 26th at 12:00 noon at the Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Clintonville. Rev. Brian Crocker will officiate and inurnment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Town of Maine. Friends may call on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

The family wishes to thank all the doctors and nurses at Theda Clark for being so kind and compassionate to mom, especially the staff on 5th Floor South.
