Simulated crash at WHS

FFA members organized a car crash simulation for the Waupaca High School students Wednesday, May 20.

The main objective of this event was to inform students of the hazards of drinking and texting while driving.

Students learned about the physical, psychological and financial repercussions of driving under the influence.

Police, fire department, EMTs, ThedaStar and the county coroner demonstrated how each service responds to a car crash.

At the end of the crash simulation, Waupaca County Judge Vicki Clussmen talked about the legal ramifications of such and accident. Rhonda Miller discussed the life changes that are caused from inattentive driving.
