Manawa to host 57th annual Mid-Western Rodeo
It is time to decorate for the 57th annual Mid-Western Rodeo, set for July 2-4.
The Manawa Lions Club is asking all local business to get into the rodeo spirit by decorating with a western theme.
“Early promotion gets people excited about the rodeo,” said Lion Connie Klotzbuecher, secretary of the Mid-Western Rodeo.
All business windows must be painted by June 15 to receive a Rodeo Fan Pack valued at $35. The fan pack includes one rodeo t-shirt, plus one adult and one child general admission ticket to the rodeo.
Decorations will be judged in four categories: Western Wear by Personnel, Interior Western Décor, Outside Western Décor and Window Painting.
Monetary prizes will be awarded in each category. First place will receive $60, second wins $35 and third place gets $25.
The businesses will be judged on Thursday, July 2.
