Knoepfel, Selma T.

Selma T. Knoepfel, age 84, of Waupaca, WI passed away Saturday, July 4, 2015.

She was born September 27, 1930 in Lutcher, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Louis and Selma (Schexnayder) Esneault. Selma was united in marriage to Gerald Knoepfel on July 10, 1965 sharing 42 years together. He preceded her in death on June 14, 2008.

Survivors include her sister, Corinne Robert of Gramerly, LA, three nephews and one niece and many friends.

Selma was employed as a science middle school teacher in Waupaca for 27 years, retiring in 1992, as well as teaching in Lutcher, LA; France, Germany, Japan, Libya and Turkey. She was a board member of Waupaca Fine Arts Festival, and a past president of Waupaca Teachers Association.

The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 9 with Father Amalraj Roche presiding. Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Park, Waupaca. Memorials are greatly appreciated to the Waupaca Fine Arts Festival or Waupaca Music Scholarship Fund. Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
