Gralapp, Nancy E.

Nancy (Carlson) Gralapp, passed away peacefully with her family at her side. She was called to Heaven on July 3, 2015 at the age of 76.

Nancy was the oldest daughter of Ivar and Leona Carlson, born on March 26, 1939 in Lake Forest, IL. She was raised in the Fond du Lac area. Nancy was a graduate of Marion College in nursing and worked as a registered nurse before and after raising her family. Nancy and her husband Bob lived in the Town of Lebanon since 1973. After retirement, they enjoyed spending winter months in Florida. Those who knew her will remember her love of taking photos, gardening, watching birds, knitting, traveling, genealogy, the Brewers, playing cards, going out to eat and her dog Ted. Nancy’s most precious love was her family.

Nancy will be sadly missed by her husband of 53 years, Robert; her four wonderful children, Dale (Lois) Gralapp, Jayne (Joe) Buchinger, Susan (Jeff) Weyenberg and Randy (Chrisy) Gralapp; 14 grandchildren: Mindy (Calixto), Nathan (Jennifer), Leah, Sara (Rick), Erik, Adam, Lauren, Jayce’ (Nic), Alex, Jessica, Elizabeth, Andrew, Abigail and Jacob; six great-grandchildren: Analeigha, Marissa, Remington, Lydia, Lucus and Hannah. Nancy will also be missed by her two sisters, Helen (Dick) Baumhardt and Betty (Don) Schoepke; a sister-in-law, Jean (Vic) Rose all of Fond du Lac, many other nieces, nephews and friends.

Along with her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Nicholas.

Funeral services for Nancy will be held at First Congregational United Church of Christ, New London on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Greg Watling officiating. Friends and family may call directly at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.

The family expresses a sincere thank you to ThedaCare Hospice, Paula, Barb and the staff at Cherry Meadows, for their compassionate care.

Nancy will be remembered as a compassionate and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.
