Iola library hosts science hero

Winner of heroism award uses science to demonstrate stories
The Iola Village Library will host Jim Lenz, The Magic and Science Guy, at 2 p.m. Monday, July 20, atthe Iola Village Hall, 180 S. Main St.

Lenz was awarded the Washington County Heroism Award after he rescued a man who fell through icy waters 30 feet deep. Much of what gave the story a happy ending was Lenz’s understanding of science.

He will tell stories and conduct scientific demonstrations that seem like magic.

Children from the audience will be selected to perform stunts and tricks.

This free program is sponsored by the Iola Village Library and OWLS (Outagamie Waupaca Library System) as part of the “Every Hero has a Story” Summer Library Program.
