There might finally be a resolution regarding the Chapter 17 complaint filed by Tricia Rose against Clintonville Mayor Judy Magee.

At the July 14 Clintonville Council meeting, the council met in closed session for 10 minutes discussing the Chapter 17 complaint. After reconvening in open session, it was announced that no action was taken in closed session.

In a follow-up interview with interim City Administrator Chuck Kell, Kell said the council will discuss the issue again in closed session at a special council meeting, Monday, July 27, scheduled for 5 p.m.

Kell said an agreement wasn’t finalized at the July 14 meeting because Magee’s attorney and the city’s attorney had a difficult time putting an agreement together due to Magee being out of town due to medical reasons.

“They want it authorized by both parties before it is brought to the council,” Kell said.

He added, “From what I understand they’re basically in agreement on everything.”
