Armen G. “Butch” Anderson, age 77, of Waupaca, WI, passed away peacefully with his wife and daughters at his side on Wednesday, July 22nd, 2015 at Riverside Medical Center.
He was born in Waupaca on March 7, 1938, the son of the late Clifford and Estella (Courtright) Anderson. He married Caroline Kaminski on September 5, 1959 in Waupaca. Butch was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church Waupaca. He had served in the U.S. Army. Butch worked for over 30 years for the Waupaca County Highway Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and word search puzzles. Butch was an organ donor.
Survivors include Wife: Carol Anderson, Waupaca, WI; Children: Shari (Friend – Jeff Hoffman) Anderson, Waupaca, WI; Susan (Don) Fay, Waupaca, WI; Grandchildren: Tonja Hansen, Waupaca, WI; Aarick Hansen, Waupaca, WI; Bryan Fay, Waupaca, WI; Brandon Fay, Waupaca, WI; Ashley Fay, Waupaca, WI; Great Grandson: McCoy Estrada, Waupaca, WI; three brothers-in-law; a sister-in-law and his beagle, Holly. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his step-father, Vilas “Pat” Strebe.
Funeral Services were held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca at 11 AM on Monday, July 27th, 2015, with Reverend Andy Behrendt, officiating. Interment was at Sheridan Village Cemetery, Town Farmington, Waupaca Co., WI. Visitation was held on Sunday, from 2 until 5 PM at the Holly Funeral Home and on Monday, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorials in his name are appreciated.
