Greely, Marilyn R.

Marilyn R. (Bartman) Greely, age 68, passed away at home on Thursday, July 23, 2015, after a short, but valiant fight against cancer, with her loving husband by her side.

Marilyn was born in New London on September 18, 1946 to the late Erna (Winter) and Carl A. Bartman. She met her future husband while attending a dance at Ken’s Riverside. They married on March 27, 1965, at Grace Lutheran Church in Bear Creek. Marilyn was a dedicated and loving mother to her three children; Bill, Kay and Troy. She enjoyed baking, sewing, ceramics and gardening and also an occasional trip to the casino. Marilyn was never without a smile and always there whenever anyone needed anything. She loved to spoil her grandchildren!

Marilyn is survived by her husband Willard “Buck” Greely and their three children; William “Bill” (Michelle), Kay Heiman and Troy Greely (special friend Tanya); grandchildren, Remington Greely, Cody Heiman, Autumn Greely and Trentin Greely; two brothers, Leonard (Wanda) Bartman and Orville (Pat) Bartman; brothers and sisters-in-law, Junior “Merle” (Christine) Greely, Jim (Margaret) Greely, Ken (Diane) Greely, Geraldine “Gerri” (Ken) Hansen, Judy Manley, Sandy Williams and Sue (Jim) Dahlke and many other relatives, nieces, nephews and friends.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, her father and mother-in-law, Merle and Laura Greely; brother, Ronny and brothers-in-law George Williams and Lyle Manley.

Funeral services for Marilyn will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Grace Lutheran Church (309 W. Willow St.), Bear Creek. Rev. Michael Stock will be officiating. Visitation will be at Borchardt & Moder Funeral Home in Shiocton from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, July 27, 2015 and also on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service directly at the church. Burial will be in the Danish Cemetery in the Town of Deer Creek.
