‘Waupaca’s Own’ summer concert

Rotary, Neuville Motors event supports schools

The Waupaca Rotary Club and Neuville Motors will host “Waupaca’s Own Concert” on Saturday, Aug. 8, at Waupaca High School.

Doors open at 6 p.m., and concert time is 7 p.m. Patrons are urged to come early to enjoy some pre-concert music by Rotary’s “Troubadours,” eight Rotarians who have formed their own group.

This year’s event features Lindsay Neuville, Kelly Hackett, Kira Morrissey, John Hammond, Ken Lauer, Sawyer Olson, Brayden Kendzior, Kathy Alan and Johathan Turba with Pianist Wanda Elkenbary. Intermission will feature the WHS State Champion Dance Team providing refreshments.

Being a major fundraiser for Rotary, the WHS Music Department, Waupaca elementary and middle schools all enjoy proceeds, with Rotary using some of the funds for Rotary Youth Exchange, and WHS senior scholarships.

A tax deductible free will offering is taken at the door. Checks should be made out to WACF (Waupaca Area Community Foundation). Receipts will be furnished for contributions over $100.

For more information or questions about sponsorships, tickets or matching funds, call Tim Neuville at 715-256-2911 or mail him at P.O. Box 365, Waupaca WI 54981.
