FFL to hold golf scramble

Event to raise funds for transitional housing

CN-WP-fdtns4livingFoundations For Living Inc. will hold its third annual golf scramble on Saturday, Aug. 29, at the Waupaca Country Club.

Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m.

New this year will be a ball drop. A local fire department will drop 100 numbered golf balls from 55 feet up. The numbered ball falling closest to the pin or first in the hole will win.

People may buy one number for $10, with a chance to win up to $500.

The tee time for 18 holes of golf in four-person teams will be 1 p.m.

The cost will be $80 per person for those who register before Aug. 15.

That fee will include cart, prizes and dinner.

There will also be Cribbage and Sheepshead tournaments for those who do not golf.

Those indoor games will begin at 3 p.m.

The cost for the tournament, when registered before Aug. 15, will be $30 per person, which includes prizes and dinner.
For those interested in the 6 p.m. dinner only, the cost will be $25 per person.

There will also be a silent auction, presentation of awards and a live auction with Auctioneer Marty Liebe.
