Kudos to community theater

Reader enjoys trip ‘Into the Woods’

I attended the Waupaca Community Theatre’s musical “Into the Woods” this past weekend.

Director John Kelley has done a fantastic job molding the cast of fairy tale characters that make up Stephen Sondheim’s musical.

The cast brings to life four fairy tales that are woven together to make one journey “Into the Woods.”

The music is difficult and is sung beautifully by the actors and wonderfully played by the professional orchestra.

The scenery draws you in – from the dark forest backdrop with a fine mist to the incredible costumes.

I so appreciate the Waupaca Community Theatre, a part of the Waupaca Fine Arts Festival, for providing not only live theatre for the Waupaca area, but also for the opportunity for singers, musicians and actors to develop their talents.
