Breaking ground in Weyauwega

Work starts on city hall, sewer plant

The city of Weyauwega celebrated the beginning of two projects with groundbreakings for each one of them.

The city’s wastewater treatment plant is being upgraded, and city hall and the police department are being remodeled and expanded.

The total cost for the two projects is about $7.7 million.

The groundbreakings took place on Thursday, Aug. 3 and included city officials, as well as representatives from Cedar Corporation, Miron Construction and Immel Construction.

Cedar Corporation is handling construction services both projects.

Miron Construction is the contractor for the wastewater treatment plant project, and Immel Construction is the contractor for the city hall and police department project.
