A woman with five children in her vehicle was charged with felony drunken driving.

Tanya D. Tank, 33, Oshkosh, was charged in Waupaca County Circuit Court with a third OWI with a minor in the car.

Shortly before 9:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, Waupaca County Sheriff’s Deputy Bryan Strobusch was northbound on State Highway 22 near Waupaca when he observed a vehicle towing a boat trailer.

Strobusch reported that the trailer had no functioning lights and the vehicle’s rear lights were not visible. He made a traffic stop.

According to the criminal complaint, Strobusch detected the odor of alcohol on the driver, identified as Tank. The children in the back seat ranged in age from 11 to 3 years old.

A preliminary breath test indicated Tank had a 0.118 blood-alcohol level.

If convicted, Tank faces a minimum of nine months in jail and a maximum of two years in prison.
