Patrick R. Wegner, age 66, New London, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on February 20, 1949 in New London, son of the late Andrew and Lacy (Shephard) Wegner. Pat worked for 28 years at Miller Electric until retirement. He loved being in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico where he vacationed with his family for many years. He also enjoyed his cars, especially his Mercury Cougar and spending time with his family and friends. He served his country in the US Marine Corps and was a combat veteran of the Vietnam War.
Pat is survived by his brothers: Michael (Bonnie) Wegner, Terry (Lois) Wegner and Dale (Kelly) Wegner, all of New London; sisters, Carol (Ozzie) Radtke, New London and Susie (Larry) Laha, Bonduel. He is further survived by the love of his life, Carol “Peachy” Wegner, New London; long time friends and caregivers, Trinity and Gloria Rivera and also numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends. His parents preceded him in death.
Funeral services for Pat will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church, New London at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Bil Sutlief officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial with full Military Honors will be at the Floral Hill Cemetery, New London.
