Reader says Bernie Sanders’ plan would protect retirees
The Senate passed a law to cut not only my pension but everyone’s pension in 2016 by up to 60 percent.
I worked 34 years paying into my pension fund, and no one has the right to take it away.
Who can afford to do this. I know we can’t.
We live a very down to earth lifestyle, and that pension pays all our bills every month.
There’s no way we could make ends meet without it, and where at our age would we find a job to make up for it.
We are all in this together, and we will all go down together unless we make sure our voices are heard.
Bernie Sanders has introduced the Keep Our Pension Promises Act.
This will stop the stealing from our fund, and we all need to help pass it.
Now is the time to stand up and have our voices heard. Right now or we all lose.
