Hortonville girls takes four of five duals
The Hortonville girls’ golf team has won four of its five duals so far this fall after its latest victory over Appleton East 182-206 at Grand View Golf Club on Thursday, Sept. 3.
Hortonville’s Chloe Crusan held a distant lead over her competitors, with teammate Bree Downie close behind. Crusan golfed a 39 on the par-35 course and Downie hit a 40. Appleton East’s first golfer came in with a 46.
Abbey Karns scored a 51 to come in third for the Polar Bears, and she tied two Appleton East golfers for fourth overall.
Hortonville’s Abby Nelson claimed seventh with a 52, followed by teammate Bailey Schernick with a 55 and Halle Kalowitz with a 56. Kalowitz beat out three Appleton East golfers.
Hortonville will have another home dual on Tuesday, Sept. 15 against Fond du Lac. Tee-off is at 3 p.m.
