The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office released the name of the driver who was killed in a rollover crash shortly after 5:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, south of Waupaca.
The driver was John A. Lengyel, 50, of rural Waupaca.
Lengyal was northbound on County Trunk E when he failed to negotiate a curve, lost control of his SUV, and slammed into a tree about one-quarter mile south of Lind Center Road. The SUV overturned and the sole occupant was ejected.
He was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
