Iola-Scandinavia High School’s theme for Homecoming is Pixar.
Homecoming Week began Sunday, Sept. 14, with hall decorations.
The week’s activities include: Monday – Merica dress-up; Tuesday – chalk drawing at 7:30 a.m., Tacky Tourist dress-up; Wednesday – class volleyball from 6-8 p.m., Would You Still be my Friend if I Wore This? dress-up.
Thursday is Theme Day, with each class dressing up to represent a Pixar film: Freshmen – Finding Nemo; sophomores – Wreck-It Ralph; juniors – UP; seniors – Toy Story; teachers – Monsters, Inc.; middle school – Cars.
Friday is Orange and Black Day, with skits and games in the afternoon.
The king and queen will be crowned at 2:30 p.m. Friday, followed by the Homecoming parade at 3:10 p.m.
The Friday night Homecoming game features the I-S Thunderbirds versus Weyauwega-Fremont.
The Homecoming dance is from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. Saturday.
The 2015 Homecoming Court includes Kaylin Ellioff and Caleb Loken, Kali Finch and Cameron Gruenwald, Lexi Hitchcock and Dylan Aanstad, Emily Kroseberg and Adam Cherek, Jayden Podgorny and Scott Aasen, and Amy Vanden Bush and Sam Jarosh.
