Betty Jane (Larsen) Hertig passed away peacefully at Brookdale Senior Living, on September 23, 2015.
She is the mother of local residents, Ken and Linda Schmidt, grandmother to Cally Schmidt Edgren (Jon) of Cedarburg, and Wendy Schmidt Hynes (Morgan) of West LaFayette, Indiana.
Betty was born in Racine, WI on September 19, 1927 to Holger and Cora Larsen. They had many relatives who resided in Iola, Portage and Waupaca Counties. Betty lived In Milwaukee until moving to Stevens Point 1 ½ years ago. She loved bowling, traveling, Las Vegas and going to Rhinelander, where they had a home.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; an infant granddaughter, Jennifer Jane; two brothers and two sisters.
