Pautz, William A. “Bill”

Bill Pautz, age 55, of New London, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 1, 2015 in Antigo, WI.

Bill was born in Shawano, on April 3, 1960 to the late Wallace and Della (Zahn) Pautz. Bill graduated from Bonduel High School in 1978. He continued his education at UW Oshkosh and Lakeland College, receiving his degree in accounting. Bill enjoyed working in the accounting industry his entire life. He was currently employed with Volm Company in Antigo. Bill married Sally Schmude on May 12, 1990. Bill was a member of United Methodist Church, New London. He had a passion for basketball and loved March Madness. Bill also had a passion for the Packers. He enjoyed being active. Bill loved biking, cross country and down hill skiing, tubing down the river, camping and especially spending time with his family at Symco Thresheree and Caroline Colorama. Bill was an avid reader and a history buff. He was an active volunteer with the United Methodist Church food stand at the Waupaca County Fair and the Unionville Thresherman’s Club.

Bill is survived by his wife Sally, daughter Ashton Pautz; son, Darren Pautz; sister, Marilyn (Bill) Rasmussen; aunts and uncle, Wilmer (Barbara) Pautz and Sylvia Jeske; in-laws, Robert (Patricia) Schmude, John (Mary) Schmude, Christine (Steve) Thompson, Colleen (Dan) Decoster, Jim (Beth) Schmude, Mike (Rene) Schmude, Sharon (Pete) DeCoster, Wally (Lori) Schmude, Kathy Poppy, Mary (Kendall) Koski, Gary (Jenny) Schmude and Wayne (Jo) Schmude. Bill loved the honor of being the Godfather to Meghan Thompson, Taylor Koski, Hannah Koski, Allyson Schnude and Vanessa Poppy. Bill is further survived by many other relatives and friends. Bill is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Morgan; brother-in-law Jim Poppy; sister-in-law Lorraine Schmude and niece Debbie Schmude.

A funeral service for Bill will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at United Methodist Church in New London, with the Rev. Joyce Rich officiating. Family and friends are invited to visit at Cline and Hanson Funeral Home, New London, on Monday evening from 4-7 p.m. and again directly at the church on Tuesday morning form 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the New Maple Creek Cemetery in the Town of Maple Creek. A special thanks to Pastor David Brice and Pastor Lucretia Fehrmann, for the support and influence they had on Bill’s life.
