Library seeks gingerbread entries

The Waupaca Area Public Library will host its second Gingerbread Village Exhibit and Fundraiser from Nov. 16 through Dec. 23.

Students, individuals, groups and businesses are encouraged to build and enter a gingerbread house or building to display in the library’s Gingerbread Village.

Visitors to the library will then vote on what they believe are the best entries by placing their change in jars in front of each gingerbread building.

Prizes will be awarded in children and adult divisions.

All voting monies will benefit the Waupaca Library Foundation’s traveling exhibition program.

Those interested in entering a gingerbread building are encouraged to pick up an entry form at the library or download one online at www.waupacalibrary.org/exhibit-room.

Entry forms should be received by Friday, Nov. 6.

The library will also host a Gingerbread Village Reception from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16.

All are invited to view the entries, vote on their favorites and enjoy some refreshments.

For more information, contact Tracy Behrendt, exhibit room coordinator, at 715-258-4414.
