Marcia Grace Bobbe was called to her eternal home on Saturday, November 7, 2015.
She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Erna and William Schultz on June 15, 1927. Marcia was baptized and confirmed at Sherman Park Lutheran Church, Milwaukee. She graduated from Washington High School. She went on to graduate from Mount Sinai School of Nursing as a registered nurse. On October 28, 1950 she married Arden Bobbe at Sherman Park Lutheran Church. They started farming west of Scandinavia in 1950. Marcia worked as a nurse at Riverside Hospital, Waupaca; Iola Hospital and Nursing Home; Manawa Nursing Home and eventually retired as a floor nurse at the Grand Army Home, King, WI. She was a long-time member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Amherst.
She is survived by four children: John (Terry) Bobbe, Scandinavia; Allan (Kathleen) Bobbe, Good-year, AZ; Martin Bobbe, Waupaca; and Mardene Bobbe, Amherst. She is further survived by five grandchildren: Mike (Jen) Bobbe, Andover, MN; Elizabeth (Tom) McGrane, Howard, WI; Stephen (Hannah) Foster, Sheffield, England; Aaron (Lauren) Bobbe, Grand Canyon, AZ; and Chelsey Bobbe, Stevens Point. She is further survived by nine great-grandchildren: Sonya, Mitchel, Emilia, Eavan, Cael, Miera, Griffin, Harper and Ronan. She was preceded in death by her husband Arden; an infant daughter, Dawn Marie; parents, four sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Amherst on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 11 a.m. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m., with Rev. Donald Johnson, officiating. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Amherst. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Amherst. The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst is assisting the family with arrangements.
