Runners named to all-CWC teams

Eight girls, three boys singled out

Eleven cross country runners – eight girls and three boys – received all-conference honors from the Central Wisconsin Conference based on their finishes Oct. 15 at the CWC meet at Standing Rocks County Park near Amherst.

The top seven finishers in the boys’ and girls’ races made the first team, while the second team included runners that finished eighth through 14th.

First-teamers on the girls’ side include Iola-Scandinavia’s Erika Kisting and Leighten Fischer (second and fourth); Amherst’s Alissa Niggemann (first); and Marion’s Delaney Greene-Gretzinger (third). Runners that made the girls’ second team include Iola-Scandinavia’s Jada Beacom (eighth); Weyauwega-Fremont’s Caragan Volz and Daisy Wilson (10th and 12th); and Amherst’s Lindsay Dose (11th).

Second-teamers for the boys include Iola-Scandinavia’s Erick Kriewaldt (13th); and Amherst’s Seth Barnes and Adam Wise (ninth and 10th).
