Marie Theresa Dupont, 93, of Neenah, went home to be with the Lord from Crossroads Care Center of Crystal River on Sunday, November 15, 2015.
Marie was born in Kimberly, WI, on March 18, 1922, daughter of the late Harry and Bertha (Wigman) Dupont. Marie had a special fondness for Waupaca and the Chain-O-Lakes. In 1957, she and her sister purchased a cottage on Dake Lake and have spent many wonderful summers enjoying various activities on the Chain. Some of her fondest memories are the Fall Parties with their dear friend Mrs. Hobart. Marie lived a very active life. She did a lot of traveling all over the world. She loved Colorado and hiking in the mountains. At age 65, she and her closest friend Dorothy went rafting on the Colorado River for a week. Marie was always very kind and good-natured. The staff at Crossroads Care Center of Crystal River took a liking to her the day she arrived. They commented that Marie made their day. Marie was an Administrative Assistant at Kimberly-Clark where she worked for 43 years. Marie was also a member of, and attended worship regularly, at St. Gabriel’s Parish in Neenah, WI.
Marie is survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and also her special close friend Dawn. She is preceded in death by: her parents, brother Harry Dupont, brother Ted and sister-in-law Noni Dupont; sister Bert Dupont; sister Ann and brother-in-law Robert Haufe; and sister Dorothy and brother-in-law John Danielson. Marie is also preceded in death by her closest friend Dorothy Ducat, who has been waiting at the Pearly Gates for Marie to arrive.
All who were fortunate enough to know Marie will miss her greatly.
