Klemp, Sadie A.

Sadie A. Klemp, age 100 of Clintonville passed away peacefully Friday morning, December 4, 2015 at the Aster Retirement Community in Clintonville.

Sadie was born on January 14, 1915 in Clintonville as the daughter of the late Otto and Mathilda (Zahn) Neuenfeldt. She attended school in Clintonville and was united in marriage to George A. Klemp Sr. on April 6, 1932 at the St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville. The couple farmed in the Township of Matteson, Waupaca County until George’s passing on June 9, 1955. Sadie moved into town where she cleaned at the hospital for a while and later became an operator for Urban Telephone, retiring in 1982. Sadie was a faithful Christian and member at St. Martin where she served her Lord by volunteering in many ways over her 100 years. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, and visiting with friends and family. Sadie loved family gatherings, baking, and also gardening. She was a giving person and a hard worker her whole life. Her spiritual and emotional strength will be missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include: daughters, Mary (Arthur) Johnson, Marion; Ruth (Robert) Hall, Oshkosh; Betty (Leu) Dickman, Green Bay and Judy (Cameron) Gorges, Walworth; her daughter-in-Law, Mary Klemp, Clintonville; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her sister, Irma Augustine, Madison. Sadie was preceded in death by her parents, husband George A. Klemp Sr., son George A. Klemp Jr., daughter Carol Stewart, and her brother Everett Neuenfeldt.

Sadie’s funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 12 p.m. at St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville with Rev. Christian Burg officiating. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery, also in Clintonville. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
