Clintonville project not quite finished

Main Street in Clintonville got a little brighter last week when street lights were installed near the Pigeon River bridge.
Even though Main Street reopened on Oct. 27 the area around the bridge was dark at night due to the lack of street lights in the area. It was never the intention of the city for the area to be without lights.
“The contractor didn’t have them (lights) when they were here,” said city of Clintonville City Administrator Chuck Kell. “They were finally delivered so they’re putting them up.”
Kell said the city still has a few items to complete in order to finish the Main Street reconstruction project.
“There’s some signage that we haven’t received, like street signs, that we have to put up,” Kell said. “We had some of it in, but not all of it.”
